Solar Cable is in high demand. Photovoltaic power systems are the only application for which solar wires are designed. Solar panels and other electrical parts of a photovoltaic system are connected via a solar wire. These solar cables have high fire resistance, are resistant to chemicals and oil, are UV and ozone resistant, disseminate smoke with low capacity when burned with an external source, and contain either zero or very little halogen. Extreme weather conditions won’t harm these cables. They are often placed outside and can be utilized in a wide range of temperatures. These cables can be placed indoors in regions that are dangerous, prone to explosions, or used in industries.
For solar cable to endure mechanical and thermal loads, insulation is required. Consequently, the use of polymers with cross-linkable silicon/electron beam properties is growing. Extremely resistant to abrasion, UV rays, and weathering are the double-jacketed materials and insulation. Additionally, it is salt water resistant and resistant to acids and alkaline solutions. It can be used in moving applications without tensile load as well as fixed installations. Although it is specifically made for outdoor use, which involves exposure to direct sunlight and high air humidity, the cable can also be put indoors in dry and humid settings because of the halogen-free flame-retardant cross-linked jacket material.
Design Of DC Cable:
1.For +ve and -ve, DC solar cables are single core copper cables that are encased in halogen-free polyolefin compound and insulated with cross-linkable polyolefin compound.(usually meeting BS EN 50618:2014 requirements)
2.Single core copper cables for +ve and -ve are used in DC solar cables. They are sheathed and insulated with cross-linkable LSZH, which has the ability to protect against UV and ozone (usually adhering to BS EN 50618:2014).
3.In accordance with IS-694 and IS-1554 part 1 guidelines, DC solar cables are single core copper cables for +ve and -ve, encased with UV-stabilized HR 105°C PVC compound, and insulated with HR105°C PVC compound.

4.DC solar cables are insulated single core copper cables for +ve and -ve.
