Teerth Gopicon and Reliance Industries win SJVN’s 5.8 MW solar auction

Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, Teerth Gopicon and Reliance Industries have won SJVN’s contract to build 5,830 kW of grid-connected solar installations. Reliance Industries received 125 kW of capacity, while Teerth Gopicon received 5,705 kW. Installing these projects on federal government buildings in a number of states, including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, is the scope of the December 2024 tender.

The renewable energy service company model will be used to carry out the projects. SJVN has been appointed as an implementation partner by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to install grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government assets and buildings. The project’s main goal is to solarise government structures connected to the Chemicals and Commerce and Industry ministries.

The Ministry of Heavy Industries awarded Reliance Industries Limited 10 GWh of Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) capacity in September 2024 as the winner of the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for ACC battery storage. The budget for the round was Rs 36.2 billion.
