Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, Teerth Gopicon and Reliance Industries have won SJVN’s contract to build 5,830 kW of grid-connected solar installations. Reliance Industries received 125 kW of capacity, while Teerth Gopicon received 5,705 kW. Installing these projects on federal government buildings in a number of states, including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, is the scope of the December 2024 tender.
The renewable energy service company model will be used to carry out the projects. SJVN has been appointed as an implementation partner by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to install grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government assets and buildings.
