Juniper Green Energy and Envision Energy India have inked a deal for the sale of 200 EN182 5 MW wind turbines and a 320 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for use in a number of projects. The wind turbines, which have a hub height of 140 meters and a rotor diameter of 182 meters, will be used for projects that Juniper Green Energy has won at state and federal auctions.
Juniper’s Firm Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project will be supported by the BESS package. In comparison to the 3.3 MW platform, the EN182 wind turbine platform offers a 40% increase in yearly energy output, utilising fewer land parcels and reducing the difficulties associated with land acquisition. The storage system by Envision Energy consists of a 5 MWh lithium-ion cell-powered containerized unit coupled with an AIoT-based energy management system.
Juniper Green Energy and First Solar inked a deal in December 2024 to purchase 1 GW of Series 7 FT1 cadmium telluride thin-film photovoltaic modules for two-year deployment in projects in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
