Hybrid Solar Inverters

A hybrid solar inverter is the combination of an on-grid and off-grid solar inverter. This inverter functions in order to control the solar panel arrays for storing batteries and power grids simultaneously. These inverters are more versatile but are more expensive than on-grid and off-grid inverters. Hybrid solar inverters can easily work without a grid, store electricity to batteries as well as export the excess electricity to the grid. The hybrid  inverter increases the energy resilience by providing back-up power in case of a grid failure and maximizes energy independence through self-consumption. Installations that use hybrid inverters are most commonly grid-tied, DC-coupled photovoltaic systems.
